Course Fees, Withdrawals and Refunds

Course Fees

No student may commence a course until fees have been paid in full.

The Course Fees include tuition, fabrication and welding materials, personal protection equipment (safety clothing) stationery and drawing equipment, and the registering of unit standard results with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.

All fees are quoted in New Zealand Dollars and include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Certificate in Welding and Fabrication Skills - 78 Credits (Level 3) 14 weeks

Fees 2013:      $12105.00   

Certificate in Advanced Welding – 77 Credits (Level 4) 14 weeks

Fees 2013:      $12105.00

Note: Students may want to purchase additional items (stationery, small tools, replacement safety equipment etc) and may do so from the school at cost.

Withdrawals

When you receive a visa to study in New Zealand the conditions require you to:

  • pay the fees for your study or training.
  • attend class at the place (education provider) written on your student visa.
  • make academic progress while you are here, as determined by your education provider.

If for any reason you wish to change to another education provider, you will need to update your student visa.

Student no longer wishes to study at NZWS for any reason or fails to attend

Notice of withdrawal in writing

Within ten days of the course start date

Full refund, less expenses up to 25% of the fee

Nil

Up to 25% of the course fee

Total fee is forfeited

Student is withdrawn from programme by NZWS for any reason  eg: attendance, safety procedures, violence, drugs

Acknowledgement of counselling and discipline procedures provided 

Any date after the programme start

Nil

Total fee is forfeited to NZWS

Student is unable to continue study at NZWS

Evidence of personal or family circumstances that prevent programme completion eg serious illness

Any date after the programme start

At the discretion of the directors

Calculated on the % of course costs consumed
